Similar to the violin painting, this work depicts another of Sarah’s friend’s instruments, continuing an exploration of personal objects as artistic subjects. While it shares a thematic connection to the earlier piece, it was created under a different context and intention. This painting functioned primarily as a study, focusing on the challenges of rendering metallic surfaces and refining an understanding of color relationships. Through this process, the work emphasizes observation, technique, and material translation, serving as both a technical exercise and an extension of the artist’s ongoing exploration of form and light.
